Eavestrough Installation in Brantford
Water Management That Protects the Whole House
An eavestrough has one job: catch what comes off the roof and put it somewhere sensible. When it is pitched correctly and the downspouts are placed well, you never think about it. When it is not, you get overflow down the siding, water pooling at the foundation, and staining on the fascia behind it.
Home Choice installs eavestrough and downspouts on homes in Brantford, Simcoe, Waterford and across Brant County, and we do the soffit and fascia at the same time when the roofline needs it.
Correct Pitch
Eavestrough only works if it drains. We set the pitch so water runs to the downspouts rather than standing in the trough.
Downspouts Placed Properly
Where the water lands matters as much as where it is collected. Downspouts are positioned to carry it away from the foundation and away from walkways.
Done With the Roofline
Eavestrough, soffit and fascia meet at the same edge of the house. Doing them together means one crew, one colour match and one visit.
Why Eavestroughs Matter for Brantford Homes
Ontario weather is hard on a roofline. Spring melt and summer storms send a lot of water off the roof in a short time, and the freeze-thaw cycle through the winter works at every joint and fastener. Older systems sag between hangers, pull away at the fascia, and start overflowing at the corners.
Overflow and Sagging
Water spilling over the front edge, visible dips between hangers, or sections that have pulled away from the fascia.
Staining and Pooling
Streaks down the siding, marks on the fascia, or ground that stays wet against the foundation after it rains.
Eavestrough Services
Most jobs are either a full replacement, or a section that has failed and is taking the rest of the system with it. We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
What we handle:
- Full eavestrough replacement, front to back
- New installation on additions and rebuilt rooflines
- Downspout relocation to move water away from the foundation
- Colour matched to your soffit, fascia and trim
- Fascia repair where hangers have nothing solid to fix into
- Free estimates, with no high-pressure sales
If the fascia behind the eavestrough has gone soft, it needs to be dealt with before new trough goes up — hangers need something solid to fix into. We will flag that at the estimate rather than after the work starts.
Our Eavestrough Installation Process
It is a straightforward job when it is scoped properly. Here is how it runs.
On-Site Assessment
We look at the existing system, where it is overflowing and why, and check the fascia behind it. The estimate is free and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
Measurement and Layout
We measure the runs and plan where the downspouts should go, based on roof area and where the water needs to end up.
Colour Matching
Eavestrough is visible from the street. We match it to your soffit, fascia and trim so the roofline reads as one piece.
Installation and Cleanup
We take down the old system, install the new trough and downspouts at the correct pitch, and clear the site before we leave.

I had to replace my rear patio door. I got 7 or 8 quotes from across the Norfolk/Brant/Oxford area. Peter Debono was the best bang for my buck. Custom design. Odd sizing. Used premium materials that won’t rot or rust. Low overhead so no augmented prices to service a “fat” organisation. Peter is personable. He is available when needed. He provides excellent customer service. He honoured everything he promised. The install was professional and he cleaned up before he left. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone looking for doors or windows.Posted on Google![]()

Eavestrough Questions
Does mine need replacing, or just cleaning?
Cleaning fixes a blockage. It does not fix pitch, sagging between hangers, or sections that have pulled away from the fascia. If water spills over the front edge when the trough is clear, or you can see dips along the run, the system itself is the problem and cleaning will only buy you a season.
Does the fascia have to be done at the same time?
Only if it has gone soft. Hangers need something solid to fix into, so new trough on rotten fascia will not hold. We check the board behind the eavestrough as part of the estimate and tell you then, rather than discovering it once the old system is down.
Where should the downspouts discharge?
Far enough from the wall that the water is not soaking the ground against your foundation, and away from paths and driveways where it will freeze. Downspout placement is decided by roof area and where the water needs to end up, which is why we plan it rather than simply replacing what was there.
Can you match it to the rest of the house?
Yes. Eavestrough is visible from the street, so we colour-match it to your soffit, fascia and trim. If we are doing more than one of those, they are matched as a set so the roofline reads as one piece rather than a series of repairs.
